::week 4::
[the assignment]

"This week we would like for you to design several logo drafts
for Creative Celebrations using shapes, lines and symbolism. Be
sure to follow the sketching and researching steps
that we discussed in previous weeks while creating your drafts.
When you have completed your draft we would like for you to post
an example of both an iconic and illustrative that impresses you."

Logos we were asked to work with this week were iconic and/or illustrative
in nature. We were also asked to find examples of this type of logo
design that we admire. The logos I selected were not necessarily
in keeping with the party theme. Just some that caught my eye.

I ran across this logo for the special events society in my
quest for party planner and supply ideas. I really liked the
clean lines and festive feel of the fireworks. |
This is a logo for Metro Nashville parks. If you are not familiar
with our local parks, you would not know that the replica of
the parthenon is considered the crown jewel of the city parks.
They have chosen to use it as their logo icon.

This is the logo for fonthead
design.
I just think it's great fun! They use it alone or with assorted
text. Check out the site at the above link. They have some
fun fonts there as well. [grin]

My doodles and drafts are simply early thoughts and ideas for this
project. Some may be too formal and others too rough, but I keep
dabbing and doodling with any idea that might come to mind. Yet
another freefall through thought processes. Many would need adjustments
to be properly reduced in size or color.
If you would like to peek, proceed at your own risk. lol
