We had been thinking about and looking around at real estate and areas that we liked while we were here. Part of the *life goal* around here is to move the Cathouse to the beach. We had become extremely attracted to an area called Little Lagoon. It sits on a strip of land that is only 3-4 house lots wide with the Gulf on one side and the pretty little lagoon/lake on the other...NOT a swamp. :-) The day before we left we found a little house that we both felt at home with at once. A block from the beach and about a half a block [or less] from a private community fishing and crabbing pier. It doesn't look like it is in the cards right now, but you never can tell with us...and I haven't quit pestering the real estate agents with my usual four hundred and thirty eight questions yet. [All who have had me as a student will now be sending out a large sigh in sympathy for the poor fellow...haha] Thought you might want to peek: |

We have been humming John Cougar Mellencamp's "Little Pink Houses" ever since we saw this one. Hum a few bars for us for luck. *grin* |

Now how 'bout that grin Tony has??? Fits right into the place doesn't he?? Actually, the place looks like my little sister decorated it. We felt right at home. Oh! And you can't tell from this picture, but that's the beach you are seeing thru the trees...the spot I washed out so well with my camera...hahaha |

Here's a shot of the beach access that is one block away. Note the lack of crowd?? Now this was taken on a warm, sunny Saturday, mid-morning in May. Agent TOLD me there weren't big crowds down at this end. Looks like that might just be true. *grin* |

Here's Tony sitting at that beach access JUST before we hit the road to head back to Nashville. Now just look at him! Doesn't he look like he wants to stay???? Maybe I could use him as a poster child for a fund raiser to move the Cathouse down there noooowwww/meooooowwww??? [ooooooh he is gonna KILL me when he sees this!] |

That's all for now folks. If you made it this far, pat yourself on the back for having extreme patience and not a lot to do. Happy trails! |
