...this guy could be convinced that we need to have our footprints permanently
embedded in beach sand? Now if he'd just stop being so dern logical and
sensible about things like job markets and income, purrrrhaps I could
make some progress. Could it be that he doesn't believe me when I say "let's
just go live under a bridge down there" because he knows better than
anybody how much I just adore camping out....NOT!!!! And he knows how
fast I'd be whining for an internet connection as well. I suppose somebody
around here needs to be level headed...*sigh*

That being said, seems to me that every time he gets that white sand
between his toes, he gets another step closer to throwing caution to the
wind.
We did look at another place while we were down there. The building was
not quite so "fluffy" as the pink house we were both so crazy
about last spring, but it does have some features that the pink house
can't match. #1 is the location. Water on both sides. Private piers &
boat launches in the lagoon for this condo complex and dedicated, private
beach access. This section of West Beach is only about 4 buildings wide
water edge to water edge. I love it! Would be great to have it to rent
during season. [That's the hot part of the year when I hate going anywhere
much unless it's to an extreme northerly location.] Then have it to play
with ourselves much of the rest of the year. My wheels are still turning.
lol
All stirring & plotting aside, we had a wonderful relaxing week. For those of you
who know the story of my Daddy and *The* Box, we found him safe and sound
in the condo. [We stayed in the same unit this time as we did last spring.]
It looks as if he has found a home since *he* has been put to work holding
instruction manuals for a small bookcase sound system which has been added
since we were there last.
We hooked up with old family friends the day before we left and finally
got a chance to try breakfast at Tacky Jack's. We sought out the haunts
and the joints, avoided the chains, munched on pound after pound of shrimp
and enjoyed the sand in our toes and sun on our faces.
I truly do believe I am a beach person at heart as somehow my soul connects
with the power and beauty of the sea. Someday soon, purrrrhaps I will
live in a place where I can enjoy those sensations on a daily basis. Until
then, stay tuned for further adventures of these two slightly silly old
folk who insist on remaining young at heart while enjoying life and the special moments it brings.
