| Week 4 I played with mangling a photo here. That was fun. :^D All images used the settings listed below. Only the compression was changed. I did find that sharpening edge colors format increased the file sizes by a small chunk, but it kept some of the lines in tact, so I used it. Smoothing made things a big blur here, so it was avoided. There was enough texture in the image so that artifact was not really an issue, but 50 was about the lowest setting I could stand, and I don't really like it there as the lines become blurred and some are lost. I also tried progressive compression which did decrease the file size,
but also blurred the lines, so I left it unchecked. Thanks for the tips about presets for optimization settings & size. That could come in handy with *someone's* mechanical detail shots that come in mass at times. They are often in similar light and don't require much fancy fixing. I mean, how exciting can you make a pipe? I don't think they'd want me doing to their photos what I did to this water drain off pipe down the way from our place. lol |

| P.S. Per your question about being bored with optimization...Nope, I'm not bored yet. You can add more. Does anyone else remember some looooonnnngggg optimization lessons in another graphics program around here? *I* do! Now that was a bit exhausting, but I'm still ready to rock and play more here. You didn't wear me out...whew! & hahaha | |||||||||
